Product Owner - Traps, Things not to do
From the Product Owner perspective:
- Delegate away their authority
- No decision making authority
- Not building the right software
- Not communicating back with "stakeholders"
- PO doesn't know what business wants
- Underestimate the size of the work
- Defining the wrong product
- Believe in business case too much
- Not checking back with customers
- PO does inspect and adapt
- Requirements "churn"
- PO not attending demos
- Disengaged PO
- PO not inviting stakeholders to demos
- Not grooming PB
- Not taking feedback from stakeholders
From the Scrum Master perspective:
- SM own Product Backlog (mechanics & Prioritization)
- SM compensates for poorly trained PO
- SM replacing disengaged PO
- SM ignoring PO
- SM not setting expectations
- SM folding to PO wishes
